DC was founded in June 1994 by Damon Way, Ken Block and Clayton Blehm. [2] It was originally based in Carlsbad, California, but is now based in Huntington Beach, California. [3] DC originally stood for "Droors Clothing," but since the sale of Droors Clothing in 2004, DC no longer has ties to Droors and is simply DC Shoes, Inc. [2]

DC Comics chief Jim Lee debuted a new logo for DC Studios on Friday at San Diego Comic-Con that returns to the design the company used from 1976 to 2005, replacing the logo first adopted in 2016.
Sebo Walker was announced as Lakai's newest AM with his clip in the "Carroll 5: Out of Control" commercial. Lakai left Podium Distribution to join Girl Skateboards Distribution. Lakai won Thrasher's King of the Road competition with 6,060 points. This also marked Mike Mo Capaldi's last Lakai trip; he went on to join DC Shoes in December 2011.
