Ghostwatch is a British mockumentary supernatural horror television film, first broadcast on BBC1 on Halloween night, 1992. Written by Stephen Volk, and directed by Lesley Manning, the drama was produced for the BBC anthology series Screen One by Richard Broke, Ruth Baumgarten and Derek Nelson.
In this film, the ghost is a woman, played by Matsushima. On January 17, 2023, it was revealed by Vanity Fair that Channing Tatum and his company, Free Association, acquired the rights to the film from Paramount. Tatum announced plans to produce, and star in, a remake of the film, with himself cast in Swayze's role.
