Last jobs I did with the Sealdons Certainteed prorated the shingles only and gave an extra $3 per square with the purchase of Landmarks. On most homes it comes out to $400-800 with a total bill of $4-8K. Only during the 5 year sure start warranty does Certainteed pay towards labor costs.
around here certainteed (fiberglass) shingles, XTs or landmarks, are the best, in my opinion. all of certainteeds problems were with their "shangle" lines that were basicly an asphult 3 tab w/ some extra pieces glued on for a dimentional look and additional weight. these were the old horizons, independence, and a couple others. seen lots of ...

The English Landmark shingles did grip good. A Metric shingle will cut your labor time down due to the larger size and only having to open 3 bundles per square rather than 4. I only lay Certainteed shingles, either XT30's or Landmarks. My price for Landmarks 30's roof top delivery is $43 a square, pretty low for my area.
Hate to break it to you but Certainteed only compensates $50 to remove two shingles. Of course you would have to charge the home owner $200. If you could do 10 pulls on one story 4/12 all side by side with each home owner with a sturdy ladder set up you could do ok. If you got to drive across town for $50 for a half hour it's not worth it.
Yeah those shingles sucked but Certainteed stands behind their roofs just the same. If you think OC stands behind the product they sell you should talk to one of my customers who had to fight for years just got them to pay the cost for replacement shingles on their 7 year old duration roof that never sealed.

It is a 68 square 8/12 gable roof with a semi-flat (2.5 pitch) porch on the rear elevation. It has a Certainteed Horizon Shingle which is now discontinued. The insurance company has paid for 27 square of the 65 square roof (rear elevation). They have multiple ripped and wind blown shingles on the front elevation.
