[1]On November 19, radio personality Bobby Bones and Sharna Burgess were crowned the champions, while Disney Channel star Milo Manheim and Witney Carson finished in second place, actress Evanna Lynch and Keo Motsepe finished in third place, and model Alexis Ren and Alan Bersten finished in fourth.
Ten professionals from the previous season returned, along with Sharna Burgess, Artem Chigvintsev, [16] and Keo Motsepe, all of whom last competed in season 27. Two new pros were added: Daniella Karagach, previously a featured dancer, and Britt Stewart, a former troupe member, who is the first black female to become a pro. [15] [1]
Craig Revel Horwood and Sharna Burgess, who had both served as judges when the series aired on Network 10, replaced Helen Richey and Paul Mercurio. Richey was unavailable due to her husband recovering from surgery, while Mercurio was focused on his political career as a member of the Parliament of Victoria. [2]
