The studio is separate from Negishi's prior studio Zero-G Room, which was established in 1991 and was later shut down in 2001 when it merged with Radix to become Radix Ace Entertainment. As of April 2023, Zero-G operates as a subsidiary of NOIX and is a group company of Saber Project, an entertainment company founded by Negishi in 2014. [4] [1]

White Cat Project is an action role-playing game with touchscreen controls, where the player controls the character by dragging the finger across the screen (a mechanic Colopl calls "Punicon") and tapping to attack. Special abilities can be activated by holding the finger on the character, which opens up a selection menu of abilities.
It ran in Monthly Shōnen Magazine from April 6, 2011, to February 6, 2015, [9] [10] and was published in eleven volumes. [11] It won the award for Best Shōnen manga at the 37th Kodansha Manga Awards. [12] He also made a spinoff manga for the Japanese blu-ray release of the anime adaptation and was later published in tankōbon format. [13]
