Elections in Negeri Sembilan (formally Negri Sembilan) have been held in the Malaysian state of Negeri Sembilan since 1955 and have chosen Negeri Sembilan's elected representatives in the Dewan Rakyat and Dewan Undangan Negeri (the Malaysian federal and state assemblies).

In 1889, under his reign, the districts of Rembau and Tampin joined the Confederacy to bear the historic name of the Nine States – Negeri Sembilan. [2] With the final two districts admitted into the state, on 29 April 1898, he was installed as the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan. [4]
