Randel "Randy" Guss (born March 7, 1967) is an American musician and drummer. He was best known as the drummer for the band Toad the Wet Sprocket from its formation in 1986 until he stopped touring in 2017 and left the band in 2020.
Toad were a Swiss hard rock band formed in Basel, Switzerland, in 1970. The band went through lineup changes, but the longest lasting and most consistent lineup was a trio of Vic Vergeat on lead guitar and vocals, and ex- Brainticket members Werner Fröhlich on bass and vocals, and Cosimo Lampis on drums.
Released in 1999, it was a posthumous look back at their career featuring hits and fan favorites. Toad is the debut album by the Swiss rock band Toad, released in 1971 on Swiss record label Hallelujah. It was recorded in London and engineered by British producer Martin Birch . Benjamin Jaeger, the vocalist, left the group after the album was finished and was not replaced.
