The following is a list of lakes in Oklahoma located entirely (or partially, as in the case of Lake Texoma) in the state. Swimming, fishing, and/or boating are permitted in some of these lakes, but not all.
The lodge was one of two lodges built in 1965 by the state on Eufaula Lake, the other being Fountainhead Lodge in present-day Lake Eufaula State Park. Initially operated by the state, financial losses led to the transfer of Arrowhead Lodge to the federal government in 1983 along with Fountainhead Lodge.
Roman Nose State Park is one of the original seven Oklahoma state parks. Lake Carl Blackwell [1] a/k/a Carl Blackwell Lake [2] is 8 miles (13 km) west of Stillwater, Oklahoma. Primarily a recreational area, it is almost midway between Tulsa and Oklahoma City. It was constructed in 1937. [3] The lake is owned and operated by Oklahoma State University (OSU). [4]
