The Morris Plan Company of Terre Haute, Indiana, continued to operate even after it became a subsidiary of First Financial Corporation (FFC); however, it will be merged into FFC's First Financial Bank, effective December 31, 2021.
The bank was founded in 1834 as a branch of the Second State Bank of Indiana [2] and later became known as Terre Haute First National Bank. In 1983, First Financial Corporation was established as the bank's holding company, and in August 1984 it became Indiana's first multi-bank holding company.
The Hulman Building (originally Central Union Bank it also became a Morris Plan Bank) is a ten-story art deco high rise in downtown Evansville, Indiana. As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 58,389 [6] and its metropolitan area had a population of 168,716.
