Sackville is a former town in southeastern New Brunswick, Canada. It held town status prior to 2023 and is now part of the town of Tantramar. Sackville is home to Mount Allison University, a primarily undergraduate liberal arts university. The university welcomes roughly 2200 students per academic year. [2]
The Sackville Ferry is the farthest upstream of four vehicular cable ferry crossings of the Hawkesbury River proper - between Windsor Bridge and Brooklyn. In order downstream, the others are: the Lower Portland Ferry, Webbs Creek Ferry and Wisemans Ferry. A fifth ferry, the Berowra Waters Ferry, crosses a side-arm of the river. [3] [5]
