Hunter Motorcycles Worldwide is an Australian motorcycle brand specialising in low-to-high capacity street and tourer style bikes. The first Hunter Motorcycle was approved for sale in Australia by the Department of Infrastructure in 2007. In 2017 Hunter Motorcycles were also approved for sale in Nepal and Indonesia. [1]
The Honda brand arrived in Australia in the mid 1950s, when independent firms imported Honda motorcycles. By the 1960s, motorcycles were joined by Honda vehicles, notably the tiny Honda S600 sports car and Honda N360 and later the Accord and Civic. In the late 1960s, Honda decided on a national approach to motor vehicle sales.
The Acme motorcycle was assembled and marketed by Bennett & Wood of Wentworth Avenue, Sydney, who also built Speedwell bicycles and were also BSA importers for New South Wales.
