Mariachi Vargas De Tecalitlán is a Mexican folk ensemble of mariachi music founded in 1897 by Gaspar Vargas. Beginning in 1950 it was under the artistic guidance of the late Rubén Fuentes. In 1950, Nati Cano joined a mariachi band in the city of Mexicali, Baja California, as an arranger. [1] Cano was younger than any of the other members at the time.
