Mukala (ムカラ, Mukara), also known as Mukala of the Sun, is an African warrior who appears in the OVA The Legend of the Inferno Armor. A warrior of the Taulagi tribe and Naria's fiancée, he wields a boomerang and wears the Black Inferno Armor (黒い輝煌帝, Kuroi Kikōtei, lit. Black Robes of the Sun Emperor).

Takeshi Shudo (首藤 剛志, Shudō Takeshi, (August 18, 1949 – October 29, 2010) [1] was a Japanese scriptwriter and novelist. His major works include anime Space Warrior Baldios, the Magical Princess Minky Momo series, and Pokémon, of which he created the Pokémon Lugia.
Burn-Up W is a 1996 anime OVA directed by Hiroshi Negishi. [1] It was soon followed by a series version called Burn-Up Excess, though it occasionally lacks continuity with the series. The OVA consists of four episodes, chronicling Team Warrior through more missions. Like the original series, there is still a large amount of fan service.
The series received mostly negative reviews. Jason Thompson in the book Manga: The Complete Guide said it "quickly becomes really disgusting" and "ends abruptly". He concluded: "Weepy subplots amid the gore drag the rating even lower, although like Arm of Kannon, it's a worthy read for anyone who likes a good gross-out". [1]
