In Galatians 4:24–25, Mount Sinai is mentioned: "One covenant is from Mount Sinai and bears children who are to be slaves: This is Hagar. Now Hagar stands for Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present city of Jerusalem, because she is in slavery with her children." Mount Sinai/Horeb is also alluded to in Hebrews 12:18–21. Willow Peak or Ras es-Safsafeh (Arabic: رأس صفصافة) is a mountain in the Sinai Peninsula. The mountain peak overlooks Saint Catherine's Monastery, and is situated approximately 1km to the west. [1] Christian tradition considers the mountain to be the biblical Mount Horeb. [2]
