The 1972 Five Nations Championship was the 43rd Five Nations Championship, an annual rugby union competition contested by the men's national teams of England, France, Ireland, Scotland and Wales, and the 78th since it began as the Home Nations Championship.
Van Hool McArdle was an Irish bus builder which operated between 1972 and 1978. [1] It was formed as a joint venture of the Belgian bus builder Van Hool and Irish coachbuilder Thomas McArdle of Dundalk to take over the bus building activities of CIÉ , principally the factory at Spa Road, Dublin. [ 2 ]
Similar to the 300E, it was a small car-derived van based on the recently introduced Ford Anglia 105E. it was marketed again as the Thames 5 cwt or the Thames 7 cwt van. These names defined, in Imperial measurements, the recommended maximum load weights (approximately equivalent to 250 and 350 kg respectively) of the vehicles.
As with the first generation, a three seater bench seat was available in the third row, slotting into the standard third row seat runners, with back-lowering and tilt forward arrangements to increase boot space. The Fiat and the Lancia were slightly wider than PSA vans, and the Phedra was longer than the other Eurovans. [6]
