Troy is a city in the U.S. state of New York and is the county seat of Rensselaer County, New York. It is located on the western edge of that county on the eastern bank of the Hudson River just northeast of the capital city of Albany.
The district is defined by building addresses: 403-429 River Street on the west side, and 420-430 River Street on the east.The resulting district is irregularly shaped, taking in all of the west side between Federal and Jacob streets but only the northern half on the east side.

Wynantskill is a census-designated place (CDP) in Rensselaer County, New York, United States. The population was 4,050 at the 2020 census. [4] Wynantskill is located at the northern town line and the northeastern corner of the town of North Greenbush. The community is a suburb of Troy.
