As I understand it, California does provide disability paid benefits for mothers and then paid family leave in addition to disability.

    Aug 3, 2022 at 1:30 PM. I think you have it mixed up. I’m in CA and we get 4 weeks off before birth and 6-8 weeks off after paid through disability. 6w vaginal 8 weeks c section. This is 60-70% pay and you file a disability claim. In California we also get family bonding leave (PFL - paid family leave).
