Franz Xaver Winterhalter (20 April 1805 – 8 July 1873) was a German painter and lithographer, known for his flattering portraits of royalty and upper-class society in the mid-19th century. His name has become associated with fashionable court portraiture .

Carmen Aguado, Duchesse de Montmorency (née Carmen-Ida-Marie; 28 June 1847 – 26 November 1880) was the only daughter of Alexandre Aguado Moreno and lady-in-waiting Claire Emilie MacDonnel. By marriage to Adalbert de Talleyrand Périgord, Duc de Montmorency, she was the Duchess of Montmorency.

Elisabeth Hermine Winterhalter (17 December 1856, in Munich – 13 February 1952, in Hofheim am Taunus) was a German gynecologist, surgeon, feminist and patron of the arts. She was one of the first female doctors and the first female surgeon in Germany.
