Castlevania is a video game series created and published by Konami. The series debuted in Japan on September 26, 1986, with Akumajō Dracula (悪魔城ドラキュラ, Akumajō Dorakyura, lit. "Demon Castle Dracula"), which was later released as Castlevania in the United States (May 1, 1987) and PAL (December 19, 1988).
