The Veil is an American horror/supernatural anthology television series hosted by and starring Boris Karloff and produced in 1958 by Hal Roach Studios, very similar to Alcoa Presents: One Step Beyond. The series was created by Frank P. Bibas (1917-1997).
The episode list on TV.com (see link in the Wiki article) lists 97 episodes with air dates, with 3 seasons of 22, 39, and 36 episodes. I suspect that the difference depends on whether you count the two-part episode, "The Peter Hurkos Story" (Season 2, Episodes 30-31), as one episode or two. Nsxtasy 22:35, 2 January 2010 (UTC)
Despite the praise for these four series, the authors also highlight several less worthy series which debuted during the 1961–62 season: Room for One More, Window on Main Street, Hazel ("possibly the dumbest family in TV history"), and the truly terrible The Hathaways ("possibly the worst series ever to air on network TV").
