Millie Louise Bown Russell (October 29, 1926 – November 1, 2021) was an American health educator and college administrator based in Seattle. Much of her work as an administrator at the University of Washington involved expanding opportunities for minority students in the STEM pipeline .

On January 3, 1921, Albert Orin Bumgardner was born in Springfield, Illinois to Alfred Orin Bumgardner, a mechanic, and his second wife, Florence Lonas. [1] [2] He grew up in Chatham, Illinois, and attended the Illinois State University in Normal from 1941 to 1943.
By the 1960s, Anne Hauberg was involved in the Seattle Municipal Art Commission, and she was a founding member of the civic activist organization, the "Committee of 33." In 1969, Anne and John Hauberg together supported Dale Chihuly's idea for a glass-blowing summer school program in the rural Northwest.
