"Ddu-Du Ddu-Du" (Korean: 뚜두뚜두; RR: Ttuduttudu) is a song by South Korean girl group Blackpink, recorded for their first Korean extended play, Square Up (2018). The song was written by YG collaborator Teddy Park , whilst production and composition were handled by Teddy, 24, Bekuh Boom , and R. Tee .
Blackpink (pictured) earned their first Show! Music Core trophy with "Ddu-Du Ddu-Du". It was also the song with the most wins on the program in 2018, winning four times. "Fake Love" by BTS (pictured) was the highest-scoring song on Show! Music Core for 2018, winning with 10,000 points on June 2.
The EP spawned the number-one single "Ddu-Du Ddu-Du", which was certified 2× platinum for streaming and platinum for downloads in South Korea. It was the group's first song to enter the US Billboard Hot 100 at number 55, making them the highest-charting female Korean act and the first to be certified gold in the country.
