Devil's Den State Park, in the Lee Creek Valley, protects the largest sandstone crevice area in the United States. Wolfpen Ridge is a ridge in the Blue Ridge Mountains in U.S. state of Georgia that runs south to north along the boundary between Towns and Union counties. Brasstown Bald, the highest point in Georgia, is located at the northern end of the ridge (elevation: 4,786 feet (1,459 m)).

Ouachita National Recreation Trail is a 223-mile (359 km) long, continuous hiking trail through the Ouachita Mountains of Oklahoma and Arkansas. It is the longest backpacking trail in the Ouachita National Forest, spanning 192 miles across its length. The drainage basin of the Mulberry River has an area of 373 square miles (970 km 2 ) and the annual average mean flow of the river near its mouth is 557 cubic feet per second.
