UFO is a 2018 American science fiction film written and directed by Ryan Eslinger, and starring Gillian Anderson and Alex Sharp. The story focuses on college student Derek Echevaro's attempts to prove the existence of extraterrestrials with assistance from his mathematics professor, Dr. Hendricks.

Under the title UFO, the film premiered at the Prince Charles Theatre, Leicester Square, London on 13 December 2012, and went into general release on 24 December. In June 2013, the film was re-titled Alien Uprising and re-released in cinemas, as well as on video-on-demand services. [5]
The film is narrated by Peter Coyote and attempts to show, through interviews with members of the scientific community, eyewitnesses and high-ranking military and government personnel; that some unidentified flying objects could be of extraterrestrial origin and that secrecy and ridicule are used to shroud the UFO issue.
A UFO lands in England, and takes control of the minds of two men and a woman (Linda Simmons, Daniel Clark and Clem Mason). Each is given superhuman strength as well as being made into a walking bomb. Simmons strangles a policeman close to her home, and each of the three is sent to destroy a SHADO installation.
