10-27-2009, 05:12 AM. If you want a bios, you must extract the bios files from your PS2. If you need more information, you can read this guide. It should cover everything you need to get the ps2 working on a computer. Scroll down to the bottom and you should see where it's titled "BIOS (Basic Input Output System)."
Like what it says above, but the primary issue lies in that the BIOS won't get detected by PCSX2 for some reason. Here are some tips: 1.when in configuration screen press "select bios folder" make sure to direct it to "C:\Program files\pcsx2\bios". 2.when that doesn't work try uninstalling the pcsx2 and install it again.NOTE lease don't forget to backup bios folder. 3.when that doesn't work try this.

Only PS2 BIOSes from original fat PS2's will be able to run PSX games. Due to the IOP changes Sony made on the slims, they simply won't run PSX games in PCSX2 right now. Audio will always be pitch-shifted a half step up, due to a rather complicated problem with sample rates. Resolved as of 1.7.0-dev-324!
