As best as my research can tell, it was used for offices and classrooms. Chanute AFB was home to several tech schools over the years, most notably the avionics school and the Minuteman ICBM maintenance school. Killjoy. White Hall has been the target of both urban exploration enthusiasts and vandals/thieves for years.
1. Location: Kernersville, NC. The power plant pic is of the old 'heat plant' which was a steam generation plant using coal fired industrial boilers. I was stationed there and worked in the plant from '83-'90. The steam was used for both heating and air conditioning for a lot of the older buildings on the base.
