Location: Burlington, MA. I have the Cool Covers version from the UK. By far the best seat cover I’ve ever used. I’ve had a Bead Rider and an AirHawk on past bikes. The 3D mesh helps prevent hot spots and heat blisters, gives a nice even springy surface, and still lets me feel the bike underneath me, unlike the AirHawk.
First, the back seat is difficult to latch in the rear position and impossible in the forward position due to the added thickness. This is with the front seat in the high position. Second, it doesn't pack down small so if you wanted to bring it on a trip in case of hot weather you'd need to account for the extra space.
Couple of tips. Go to Ikea, go to the rug section. Go with another friend who wants a sheepskin seat cover. Get the sheep skin rug for 40 bucks. Split it in half, Got to your local cobbler, they can sew a strap to the hide, For less then 25 bucks you both can have a seat cover, #13. Ron from BC, Apr 23, 2010.

On the adventure touring side of the equation, the expedition comes equipped with a tubeless, spoked wheelset with a 2.5 X 21-inch front and a 4.5 X 18-inch rear. With 5 gallons of fuel, the Norden 901 offers an excellent range if you are able to manage your throttle hand.
Apr 3, 2014. Oddometer: 187. Location: M-201 Michigan. I’ve had an airflow seat cover on my Vstrom for a couple of years now. Prior to that, I used Bead Rider ceramic beads. My impression is the airflow cover is more comfortable in a wider range of temps, without the bulk of the beads too.
Oddometer: 1,849. Location: Where the girls are green and the grass is pretty. Used one for a while, great for keeping the vinyl seat cool. Provides airflow and grip. After about four days on a trip it gets a bit uncomfortable, through Revit Sand 3 pants.
Like all mesh in the summer, it’s great when you are hot and sweaty as the evaporation makes it nice and cool. Once you dry out it keeps you from getting swamp butt, so not cooler any more but better. If you drive a lot the wind will dry you out so drink more water to compensate. #56. jdub, Aug 2, 2021.
My bike seat covers are made from old SS car seat covers, they work like a bought one.I tie em on with a bit of string so they come off quick in the rain, they soak up water like a sponge and take forever to dry out. Very cheap, very effective and very KLR
I have a Sargent seat on my GSA that I’ve put the Alaska sheep skin under my AliExpress mesh cover. Works like a charm. Although it’s a bit tight and slips up slightly on the rear of the seat it works fine. I think if you get the largest mesh seat cover, like the Harley suggestion above, you could make this work.
