Lamb of God is an American heavy metal band from Richmond, Virginia.Formed in 1994 as Burn the Priest, the group consists of bassist John Campbell, vocalist Randy Blythe, guitarists Mark Morton and Willie Adler, and drummer Art Cruz.
Lamb of God released two more albums—Resolution (2012) and VII: Sturm und Drang (2015)—before parting ways with original drummer Chris Adler in 2019, who was replaced by Art Cruz. Adler was a member of Megadeth from 2015 to 2016, appearing on their fifteenth album, Dystopia, and performed some touring dates in support of that album, as well as the touring and creative obligations with Lamb of God. The Sacrament World Tour was a concert tour by American metal band Lamb of God. It was in support of the band's 5th studio album Sacrament . It was the biggest tour the band has done to date; and their new DVD , Walk with Me in Hell , which was released on July 1, 2008, contains a documentary and live footage from the World Tour.
The band Lamb of God also performed on the tour. When the tour arrived in Los Angeles on April 9, 2005 to perform at The Forum, Lamb of God was banned from opening for Slipknot because the church that owned the venue did not appreciate the band's old name of Burn the Priest. [2]
