Sika Foyer (born 1968) is a Togolese American mixed media and conceptual visual artist and curator living and working in New York City. Born in northern Togo (West Africa), into the Kabye ethnic group.Bamazi began his artistic career as an apprentice to his uncle, a traditional Togolese artist. Although he studied architecture in Lomé, he rapidly returned to painting, and developed his own distinctive style bridging traditional African and contemporary modern art.
He was born in Vogan, Togo (West Africa), in 1946, and moved to Lagos, Nigeria, at the age of eight, where he received his education and art training, receiving a scholarship to the Yaba Trade Center where he studied fine art from 1966 to 1968.
