Racing-Paris Rugby Team in 1899. Racing Club de France, also known as RCF, is a French multi-sport club that was founded on 20 April 1882 under the name Racing Club. Racing Club changed its name to Racing Club de France (RCF) on 21 November 1885. The club is located at the Bois de Boulogne in Paris with club colours of white and blue.

The 1892 French Rugby Championship was the inaugural annual French rugby union championship organised on 20 March 1892 by the USFSA, a one off game between Racing Club de France and Stade Français. The game was refereed by Pierre de Coubertin and saw Racing win 4–3. [ 1 ]
The club did not gain a third promotion until 2009, when they took a place in 2009–10 Championnat de France amateur 2. They spent four seasons before returning to the regional league in 2013. In 2016 the club gained a fourth promotion to the national leagues, taking a place in 2016–17 Championnat de France Amateur 2.
Among the successor clubs in the city were Calais FC Hauts-de-France and Grand Calais Pascal FC. [4] In 2023, the two clubs merged to create a new club called Racing Club Calais. [ 5 ] The first team would start in the Régional 1 , the sixth tier of French football , where Grand Calais Pascal FC had been playing prior to the merger.
The club again played in the final in the 1943-44 season, but were shutout by Chamonix Hockey Club, 5–0. [3] In the 1949-50 season, Racing Club won their first French championship, [4] a feat they would accomplish again the following season. [5] Their last appearance in the 1re série was in the 1962-63 season. [6]
