The Nike Elite Youth Basketball League, [1] [2] also known as Nike EYBL, or simply EYBL, is a basketball circuit for teams of players aged 17 and under. The circuit was founded in 2010 [3] and is composed of AAU travel teams. [4] Both boys and girls play in the EYBL in their respective categories.
It is home to the university's Varsity Blues basketball and volleyball teams. The facility was completed in the fall of 2014 at a cost $58 million, [ 3 ] with $22.5 million coming from the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities and $11 million from the Goldring family , for whom the centre has been named. [ 4 ]

Toronto hosted parts of the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup. Toronto also hosted the 2010 Major League Soccer championship match between FC Dallas and Colorado Rapids (Colorado defeated Dallas 2–1). It was the first time the MLS Cup took place outside of the United States. Toronto would go on to host 2 more MLS Cups.

The National Basketball League of Canada (NBL Canada; French: Ligue nationale de basketball du Canada) was a Canadian professional men's minor league basketball organization. The NBL Canada was founded in 2011, when three existing Premier Basketball League teams joined with four new franchises for the league's inaugural season.
