In 1973 Shibaura made an agreement with Ford to build a small tractor, the Ford 1000, using Ford's specifications and styling. [4] Subsequently Shibaura made other models of Ford tractors, like the Ford 1600 and 2110, and continued to build small tractors even after Ford acquired New Holland. [ 5 ]

EB serial numbers from Essendine works began at EB-4001. Some 2000 were assembled at the Totton, Southampton facility between 1947/9 from imported CKD kits but using US serial numbers locally stamped with an additional E prefix. Theoretically there may be duplication of serial numbers with later English production tractors. 1959 Allis-Chalmers D272
The Farmall 1468 was produced beginning in 1971. It was essentially a Farmall 1466 with an International 549-cubic-inch (9,000 cc) diesel V-8 truck engine. Compared to the 1466, it was no more powerful, but made a distinctive noise and had two prominent exhaust stacks flanking the engine housing.
The tractor was popular for its set of innovative features in a small, affordable implement. It succeeded the Farmall F-14 . The A was incrementally updated with new model numbers as the Super A, 100, 130 and 140, but remained essentially the same machine.
Industrial models kept the 248/258/268/278/288 model numbers but had "H pattern gearshift". IH Doncaster supplied transmissions to the USA (initially Louisville) which were built into tractors with the same model designations as the Doncaster produced tractors. Also some were specifically for US only models (240/250/260/270?).
