Sofitel Hotels & Resorts are a French hotel chain of luxury hotels based in Paris, France, and owned by Accor since 1980. Founded in 1964 in France, Sofitel quickly developed worldwide to reach more than 200 properties. In 2008, Sofitel became a brand of luxury hotels only, downsized its property count to 89, and created new brands.
Sofitel Paris Le Faubourg is a 5-star luxury hotel located in the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, 8th arrondissement of Paris, France, near the Place de la Concorde.Housed in property formerly owned by Accor hotel group (having been founded in 1997), in 2013 it was sold in a leaseback to New York City-based Mount Kellett Capital for €113 million, including €13 million as renovations. The album was recorded live mainly on 12 & 13 August 1986 at Le Zénith, Paris, France (Paris is nicknamed "La Ville de Lumière" which means "The City of Light", hence the album title), on the last dates of the Once Upon a Time world tour, with the only track "Someone, Somewhere In Summertime" recorded in late October 1986 at Sydney Entertainment Centre in Sydney, Australia.
