Mornington Lifeboat Station is a former Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) station in the village of Mornington, on the south side of the River Boyne estuary, near Drogheda in County Meath, Ireland. A lifeboat was first stationed here, Drogheda (No.2), by the RNLI in 1872. [1] Mornington Lifeboat Station was closed in 1926. [1]
The Visitor Centre is located near the village of Donore, County Meath, south of the river Boyne, whereas the monuments themselves are located on the north side of the river. All access to the passage graves is by guided tour only and all tours begin at the visitor centre. Visitors are placed on the next available tour.
