John Wesley (/ ˈ w ɛ s l i / WESS-lee; [1] 28 June [O.S. 17 June] 1703 – 2 March 1791) was an English cleric, theologian, and evangelist who was a principal leader of a revival movement within the Church of England known as Methodism.
At approximately 10:22 a.m., an anonymous man phoned the 16th Street Baptist Church. The call was answered by the acting Sunday School secretary, a 15-year-old girl named Carolyn Maull. [21] The anonymous caller simply said the words, "Three minutes" [22]: 10 to Maull before terminating the call. Less than one minute later, the bomb exploded.

Susanna Wesley (née Annesley; 20 January 1669 – 23 July 1742) was the daughter of Samuel Annesley and Mary White, and the mother of John and Charles “…although she never preached a sermon or published a book or founded a church, (she) is known as the Mother of Methodism.
