In general, a heated humidifier is either integrated into the unit or has a separate power source (i.e. plug).
Some CPAP machines have other features as well, such as heated humidifiers. The therapy is an alternative to positive end-expiratory pressure (PEEP). Both modalities stent open the alveoli in the lungs and thus recruit more of the lung surface area for ventilation.

A bubble bottle is mostly used in oxygen therapy with high flow rates via a mask, nasopharyngeal catheter, or nasal cannula in order to prevent drying of the mucous membranes in the nose and mouth.
