Scranton High School is an urban high school located in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania in Northeastern Pennsylvania. It is part of the Scranton School District . It enrolled 1,792 ninth through twelfth grade students in 2010. [ 2 ]
According to the 2020 census, the Scranton School District serves a resident population of 76,997. [3] The educational attainment levels for the Scranton School District population (25 years old and over) were 83.9% high school graduates and 19.3% college graduates. [4] The district is one of the 500 public school districts of Pennsylvania.

The public school was closed in 1941, and subsequently acquired by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Scranton for use as a consolidated Catholic high school. It was renamed in 1973, as Bishop Klonowski High School, and closed in 1982. The property was acquired by Lackawanna Junior College in 1982. [2] In 2012, it is occupied by Goodwill Industries.

The James Madison School, also known as the East Scranton Intermediate School and East Scranton Junior High School, is an historic American school building that is located in Scranton, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2009. [1]
West Scranton High School, is a community-based school in the west side neighborhood of Scranton, Pennsylvania. It is one of the oldest schools in the area, having opened to the public in 1935, first as a junior high facility and later as a high school. It offers about 32 clubs and 17 sports, and hosts grades 9 through 12.
