Saucony Jazz trainer. The Saucony Shoe Manufacturing Company's first factory was founded in 1898 at Kutztown, Pennsylvania by businessmen William A. Donmoyer, Thomas S. Levan, Walter C.C. Snyder, and Benjamin F. Reider. The company took its name from Saucony Creek, which flows next to the original factory in Kutztown. [2]

Blues for Lou is an album by American jazz guitarist Grant Green featuring performances recorded in 1963, but not released on the Blue Note label until 1999. [1] The album combines recordings from two different sessions that featured Green with organist Big John Patton and drummer Ben Dixon. The title track was named for saxophonist Lou Donaldson.
Produced by Creed Taylor, it is the only album Green did for Verve and perhaps his last real jazz album before several years of inactivity, after which he became somewhat more commercial in his approach”. Green gradually withdrew from the public eye to develop a career as a jazz educator. He taught at Chicago State University from 1972–1989, and in the 1990s took up the directorship of the jazz studies program at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville , where he taught and acted as chair of Jazz Studies until his retirement in 2011.
