While Robin continues to evade the government agents from capturing her, Luffy uses his Haki techniques to defeat Fake Luffy's group. Meanwhile, the government agents capture the Fake Robin. Sanji learns about what has happened to Zoro from a fisherman. While talking to the fisherman, Sanji finally discovers Zoro as he destroys the ship he was in.
Luffy and Zoro start fighting the dragon, which can speak and breathe fire. Luffy rockets up to the dragon's back, discovering a pair of legs. Luffy gets the dragon to chew its own wing, making it fall. Zoro takes the opportunity to jump into the air with Usopp's trampoline and decapitates the dragon.
Luffy attempt to fight back using Armament Haki, but his punches go right though him, much to Luffy's confusion, as Trebol question Luffy's assumption of his Devil Fruit being a Logia. Law tells Luffy that fighting Trebol is futile, while revealing Trebol's slime is in fact mucus, before he begins to insult Trebol and the other executives.

Rayleigh teaches Luffy two Haki techniques, using the first technique, Observation Haki (a power feeling a person's presence) to avoid the elephant's attack. Rayleigh then knocks out the elephant with Armament Haki (another technique used as an invisible shield and can render a Logia-type Devil Fruit user unconscious).
