Grant City Park is a public park in Grant, Nebraska.The Works Progress Administration constructed the park between 1936 and 1939. Before the park's creation, Grant had no public parks other than a public swimming pool and softball field; recognizing a need for additional recreation facilities, the city's Garden Club convinced the Village Board of Trustees to approve a public park in 1935.
The county was founded in 1887 and named for Ulysses S. Grant, 18th President of the United States. [3] In the Nebraska license plate system, Grant County is represented by the prefix 92 (it had the ninety-second-largest number of vehicles registered in the county when the license plate system was established in 1922).

The recreation area is managed by the Pine Ridge Ranger District of the Nebraska National Forest. It is home to wildlife species such as coyotes, bobcats, elk, white-tailed deer, mule deer, eagles, hawks, and wild turkeys. Activities in the recreation area include hiking, horseback riding, and mountain biking.

The Sandhills Global Event Center, known as the Lancaster Event Center until December 2023, is a public non-profit fairgrounds-style event complex located in Lincoln, Nebraska owned and operated by the Lancaster County Agricultural Society. It was originally built to provide a permanent home for the Lancaster County Fair and other community events.
