Opened 1901. On property adjacent to the Library is the former Erie County Jail, built in 1883. In 1996, the Library purchased the Jail from Erie County and embarked upon a $10 million expansion project to renovate and connect the two National Register of Historic Places buildings with new space.
Visitors can access the Lloyd Clark Trail, as well as the rest of Clark Nature Preserve, from the parking area at 400 House Rock Road in Pequea. The preserve is open every day from dawn to dusk.
Changes were made to the science wing, family consumer science classrooms (middle and high school), art and visual arts classrooms, cafeteria, performing arts rooms (band, orchestra and chorus), auditorium, library, staircases, health room, and administration and guidance offices (middle and high school).
