The newspaper is owned and published by Jordan Press Foundation. [4] The company later began to publish an English daily, The Jordan Times. [5] Al Rai launched its Palestinian edition on 5 October 2005. [2] In August 2008, the daily started its e-journal, Minbar Al Rai, and in May 2009 it launched a weekly newspaper for advertisements. [4]
Its publisher was Jordan Press and Publishing Company. [2] Its first editor-in-chief in Jerusalem was the late Mahmood Al Sherif, then also publisher of the Arabic-language Ad-Dustour that started publication in Amman in 1967.
