Ryomen Sukuna (Japanese: 両面 宿儺, Hepburn: Ryōmen Sukuna) is a fictional character and one of the central antagonists of the manga and anime series Jujutsu Kaisen created by Gege Akutami. A Heian Era sorcerer, he was once known notoriously as the King of Curses and well known as the greatest Sorcerer to ever live.

Jujutsu Kaisen (呪術廻戦, rgh. "Sorcery Battle") [b] is a Japanese anime television series produced by MAPPA, based on the manga series of the same name by Gege Akutami.The story follows high school student Yuji Itadori as he joins a secret organization of Jujutsu Sorcerers to eliminate a powerful Curse named Ryomen Sukuna, of whom Yuji becomes the host.
Jujutsu Kaisen originates from the four chapter series Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School, later retitled Jujutsu Kaisen 0.In retrospect, Akutami found the early design of Yuta Okkotsu too similar to that of fellow Jujutsu Sorcerer Megumi Fushiguro in the main series, thinking this they might confuse readers. Yuji first appears in Jujutsu Kaisen as an eccentric 15-year-old who lives with his grandfather Wasuke and is a member of his high school's Occult Club. On the day of his grandfather's death, Yuji is approached by first-year Jujutsu Sorcerer Megumi Fushiguro, who inquires about one of Sukuna's fingers that the occult club illicitly obtained.

Yuji tries to convince Junpei to come to Jujutsu High with him, telling him there are strong teachers there who can help. Mahito then arrives and Junpei realizes he was being manipulated by him, only for Mahito to turn Junpei into a disfigured creature. Yuji pleads for Sukuna's help but Sukuna simply refuses and laughs at him alongside Mahito.
