Broomhill (grid reference) is a western suburb of Sheffield. Largely developed in the nineteenth century, its prominent buildings include Broomhill Church , The Mount and King Edward VII School , the latter two listed buildings both designed by William Flockton .

Work on the building began in 1929, to a design by W. G. Davies. Built in a broadly Art Deco style, it was opened in 1934 by the Duchess of York (later The Queen Mother).

This building was destroyed by an incendiary bomb during the "Sheffield Blitz" of 12 December 1940; only the spire and a porch survived (they are now Grade II listed structures).
