The school logo includes the name of the school, St. Patrick's High School, and the motto “Religio Alit Artes.” The armorial bearings of St. Patrick's High School in Ottawa was “entered in the Public Register of Arms, Flags and Badges of Canada” and presented to the school on Wednesday, March 6, 2002. On 4 September 2016, the school's patron Mother Teresa was canonized into Sainthood by Pope Francis. She is now referred to as Saint Teresa of Calcutta in the Catholic Church. The Ottawa Catholic School Board decided to rename the high school, St. Mother Teresa Catholic High School to keep with tradition.
