Robert Keith Wilson (22 November 1935 – 21 September 2020) was an English tennis player. Wilson reached the quarterfinals of Wimbledon four times, Forest Hills twice, and Roland Garros once during the late 1950s and early 1960s.
Wilson played collegiate tennis for the University of Illinois. [2] He earned All-American selection as both a singles and doubles player during his college career. [2] In 2003 he was a member of the team which won the NCAA Championships and he was also the doubles champion, partnering Rajeev Ram. [2]
Wilson is originally from the small farming town of Rai Valley in Marlborough. He and his brother would practice on a floodlit asphalt court their parents had installed on their property. In 1987 he went to Iowa State University and played collegiate tennis for three and a half years. [1]
