History. Cavanaugh Hall was completed in 1971 and located on Agnes Street, later known as 925 W. Michigan Street, and designed by Reid, Thompson & Boots Associates, Inc. Cavanaugh Hall was named after Robert E. Cavanaugh, former dean of the IU Extension Campus. The groundbreaking ceremony was held on September 4, 1968.
