The East Town Street Historic District is a historic district in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. The site was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976 and the Columbus Register of Historic Properties in 1982; the district boundaries differ between the two entries. [1] [2]
The two-story, 28,000 sq ft (2,600 m 2) [1] building was designed in the Art Deco style by Ray Sims, a local architect and member of the Columbus chapter of the AIA.Sims, an original partner to the present-day Schooley Caldwell, also designed the Richard Berry Jr. House in Columbus, and assisted in designing the Ohio State University's Sullivant Hall.

The Metro Schools are a semi-public network of three schools located in Columbus, Ohio, United States, on Ohio State University's campus: Metro Early College High School (MECHS), and Metro Middle School (MECMS). The Metro Institute of Technology, the third branch of the school, closed in 2017.
On May 19, 1902, Cleveland became one of the first cities in the country to require motorists to display government-issued registration numbers on their vehicles. [2] [3]In 1906, the state attempted to take over auto registration under the Ward Automobile Law, but litigation delayed the program until the state Supreme Court ruled in favor of the law.

The Columbus Public Health building, the former Engine House No. 12 and Fair Avenue Elementary School, Franklin Park, and the Franklin Park Conservatory all lie within the National Register district.
