Education. Luce Township is in South Spencer County School Corporation. [7] Prior to 1965, Luce Township had its own high school. The school colors were red and white, and the mascot was the Red Devils. It absorbed students from the former Grandview High School in 1943. In 1965, it merged into South Spencer High School. [8]

It was built in 1897–1898, and is a two-story, rectangular, Romanesque Revival style limestone building with a corner bell tower. It measures 24 feet wide and 61 feet long and has a hipped roof.
