    Which factors are more important and There are many ways to produce a strong nation. It depends on how you define "strong". It depends on how you define "strong". Medieval society, in western Europe, was extremely inequal, but the ruling classes had great power, did most of the main fighting etc, and yet lived within a strong and vibrant society.
